I know a lot of you out there have been following Nell’s spiritual struggle and are concerned about her… unfortunately her condition is getting worse. I hate to say it but she may be a danger to herself and those around her… this footage was taken just an hour ago, be warned, it’s disturbing:

Something is wrong. Nell came to see me tonight. I woke up and she was there, just standing there… I almost… well I was a little surprised. This can happen, nothing too out of the ordinary… still… the look in her eyes just about froze my blood…

The Ritual
All I can say is that the exorcism went as planned, with no unhappy surprises. Nell came out of it with flying colors, though she was definitely exhausted. Even her father seemed to benefit. Afterwards, he and I had a chat about what he can do to help her moving forward, and a little bit about how he can help himself. Work is done here. Heading to the motel with the film crew now, we’ll get some shuteye, then get up early and head back home. Missing Shanna and Justin.

Learning More
Asked Nell some direct questions – she does in fact feel as if something is wrong, that something “bad” is inside of her. She often feels hot, like she’s going to be sick. Her father said that she’s been having high fevers. After a quick experiment to test her reactions, I told her father that I believe she is possessed, and which demon I believed to be the culprit. I’ll perform the exorcism as soon as possible, and hopefully bring this poor girl some peace.
Sometimes it’s just important to have an answer, any answer to help us through the darkest times. Nell’s father needs answers, I can see that. He seems like a man who’s barely holding on, clutching that bible for dear life. Lord knows he hasn’t had it easy, losing his wife, taking care of these kids and running the farm. I do hope I can give him some peace of mind, help him get a leg up on his own personal demons.

The Afflicted
Just met the daughter – a very sweet girl named Nell. Lord knows it can’t be easy when your mother passes away at such a young age. She’s been home schooled since the 6th grade, and no friends to speak of, so there’s been some isolation. Hard to put this gentle teenage girl and that mutilated carcass together. Heading back into the house now for a more formal interview.

First Contact
Just met the father of the girl who may be afflicted. He appears to be a religious man, very strong beliefs. He showed me the carcass of one of his animals – mutilated, jagged slash marks, very brutal. Hard to believe a teenage girl could cause this kind of damage – he reminded me that the possessed can have superhuman strength, added that she’s woken up covered in blood. Not sure what to make of it at this point. The wounds on the slain livestock very disturbing though…

Not Neighborly
Had some trouble finding the farm, these old dirt roads can fork off with no sign in sight, and then just end in a crowd of trees with no rhyme or reason. We’d been heading down a stretch of road when we came across a teenage boy – asked him for some directions. Long story short he told us to go back where we came from, and not so nicely as that. Places like this they sometimes don’t take too kindly to strangers…

Familiar Journey
It’s a long drive down to Ivanwood, Louisiana – feel like I’ve taken this drive hundreds of times. The same blue highways, cracked and blistered, with the same beer cans and pill bottles in the gutter. The same run down houses, plywood churches, overgrown cemeteries. The same feeling of desperation as you drive through each one of these beat up old towns. It’s no wonder I get so many calls for help in places like this…

A Call for Help
Received a letter from a father in Louisiana – usually people contact me through the website, but letters still work. It’s a fairly typical call for help – he’s extremely concerned about his daughter, and suspects that there may be satanic forces at work… the girl is acting very strangely, some of his livestock has been killed in bizarre ways. It sounds like he can use my help. It’s also a great opportunity for the film crew to document an exorcism, see what it’s really all about.

The Film Crew
Lots of folks have been asking me about the film crew following me around, so I better explain before people think I’m on some kind of reality TV show. I’ve been working with a documentary producer to share the story of…well, certain aspects of what I do. I can’t get into details right now, but suffice to say it’s a really important story that needs to be told. In any event, you’ll see them at church and following me around town – do feel free to say hello but try not to ruin the shot!
